Contract Technician - Agricultural 

Catchments Programme

To provide technical, field and laboratory support to Agricultural Catchment Programme staff and to implement the agreed protocols including:


Collection of the environmental, economic and production data required by the programme team.

Maintenance of equipment and facilities in the catchments.

Participation in dissemination of information generated by the programme.



To maintain monitoring and recording equipment and facilities in good condition.

To record (using notebooks, data-loggers, computers, etc.) chemical, physical, financial and attitudinal data.

To collect, process and analyse as appropriate samples of soil, water, manure, plants and other materials as required by the programme protocols.

Person Specification




Candidates must have a Level 6 qualification in agricultural or environmental science or a related discipline.



A Level 7 qualification agricultural science, environmental science or analytical chemistry in would be a distinct advantage
